What is that you may ask?
Vätternrundan (pronounced vet-turn-rund-an) is a 300km (185 mile) cycle race, which takes place annually following the shoreline of the beautiful Lake Vättern in Sweden. Setting out on the evening of 12th June, the rules are simple – ride the complete distance around the lake in the best time you are able!
We are riding as part of a team representing the excellent charity Cyclists Fighting Cancer (CFC). For those who have not heard of CFC, they enable children and young people living with cancer across the UK to regain their physical fitness, strength and confidence by giving them new bikes, adapted trikes, tandems, other equipment and support. An excellent cause I am sure you will agree.
